Service Provider
Project
Location of performance / Site: Mohlsdorf-Teichwolframsdorf, Thuringia, Germany, Europe
Date: 2008
Description

Pollutants removed:

  • Hydrogen sulphide (H2S),
  • Odorous substances.

UGN® technology employed:

  • XL hybrid filter module for exhaust air treatment
  • 4 m³ of UgnCleanPellets® S 1.0 filtering material

Project description:

The two structures of the sewage plant were equipped with a ventilation system to avoid odour emission and biogenic corrosion in the sludge storage tank and the bar screen system. The air ducts lead the collected exhaust air through the XL type hybrid filter module. Inside the filter module, the odorous substances (mostly hydrogen sulphide) are bound to the UgnCleanPellets® S 1.0 filtering material and metabolised by microorganisms. The negative pressure needed for the extraction is generated by a roof fan that sits on top of the filter module and is running continuously.
